Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare Rockville offers the healthiest and the most natural dog boarding environment for your pet. Dogs are social creatures and have a pack drive. Dogs love being with people and/or other dogs. With our “dog pack boarding concept” your dog will enjoy human companionship for approximately 15 1/2 hours a day and canine companionship 24 hours a day! Their “pack” is made up of humans and canines just as it is in life. Your dog’s social skills will increase the more they board at Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare ( whereas in kennels dogs don’t get to interact with one another, and social skills will decline).
The physical exercise while dog boarding occurs naturally during the course of dogs playing, jumping, keep away, king of the hill, “you can’t see me”, and playing chase with each other. We have a connected outdoor areas to the indoor areas ( we are one a few with that feature.) Dog boarding at Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare Rockville means your dog will be mentally stimulated through their play with other dogs, interactive dog toys, and a variety of obstacles we have in their play areas. Our dog play areas for our dog boarding clients are divided by size for their safety and comfort, and we also can set up areas based on temperament.
At Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare Rockville we feed our boarding dogs in crates for several reasons: to insure they eat only their food (some dogs have allergies and are on restricted diets), to insure there are no food fights/food aggression. we believe in allowing 90 minutes for eating and digestion ( again this practice is safety driven for your dog) to avoid up-set stomachs and bloat. When we put the dogs to bed at night they sleep in crates that are appropriately sized for them with water available to them. The reason for the crates is because it goes back to dogs living in dens to eat and to rest,; the natural denning instinct.

The dog suites boarding is the most luxurious dog boarding option. Your dog will enjoy 50 square feet, and their own child size bed. Your pup will be able to stretch out and enjoy their own space as if they were at home. This style of boarding is perfect for dogs and owners who do not care for crating. We have three different suite options:
- Ultimate Suite
- Deluxe Suite
- Junior Suite
The Ultimate Suite includes unlimited play in the dog daycare, which allows your dog to play indoors and outdoors at their own convenience. We are one of the few facilities in our local area that offers a connected outdoor area where they can play outside and enjoy the fresh air, or go to the bathroom when they need to. Our indoor and outdoor areas have many obstacles for mental stimulation, and are also equipped with tons of toys to play with. When it is time to dine or go to sleep, they will return to their own private suite, sleep in a children size bed, and get ready for the next day of fun and adventure!

The Deluxe Suite is a great middle option of activity and rest for your dog. It includes a half day of dog daycare (4 hours of play), as well as 2 individual walks. For the remainder of the time, your pup will be relaxing in the comfort of their private suite. Their spacious suite includes a child size bed, as well as toys to interact with.

The Junior Suite is perfect for dogs who don’t enjoy crates, or playing with other dogs. It includes 30 minutes of individual play, as well as 3 individual walks. Your pet will be able to enjoy a very spacious and quiet environment on their child size bed. If you would like to schedule additional play time and/or walks, that can be added as well.

High Five Boarding
The high five dog boarding option is perfect for your high energy and high social drive dogs. This option gives your dog the entire day to play with new friends indoors and outdoors (except during meal times and bed time). Yes, you read correct! Your dog will be in dog daycare for the entire day and has access to an outdoor area so they can play outside and use the bathroom at their own convenience! The indoor play area is filled with stimulating toys and obstacle courses while the outdoor area in the summer always has a pool to jump in or sprinkler to jump through. In the high five dog boarding option, your pet will be playing with other dogs similar in size and temperament.

4 on the Floor boarding is the perfect dog boarding option for your dog if they do not play well with others or if they just rather lay around in peace. This dog boarding option is perfect for dog’s that have physical aliments, recovering from surgery so your dog needs restricted activity, or maybe just doesn’t like other dogs! This dog boarding option gives your dog the freedom to move around in his or her own crate, yet get the exercise they still need. 4 on the Floor boarding includes 30 minutes of private play with a Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare staff member, and three long individual walks. Your dog is not spayed or neutered? No worries! We have plenty of room here with us at Blue Dog Boarding and Daycare.
